3 tips to Start an Adventitious and Successful 2023 New year
- EMPOWER YOUR BUSINESS: – start with the end in mind. The more focused you are, the easier it is to implement. Set your goals, strategies, and action at the beginning of the year. Keep them in mind every day, every week, and every month.
Make them SMART Goals. Goals are things you would be proud to have accomplished and achieved within a certain period. SMART goals are strategic, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time-bound with deadlines. The best goals have benchmarks and key performance indicators to measure success along the way. SMART goal setting means planning for success.
Five Helpful Empowerment Tips:
- Be Honest With Yourself
- Focus On Only A Few Priorities
- Practice SMART Goal-Setting
- Be Ready To Give (And Take) Feedback
- Celebrate Wins And Acknowledge Losses
Specific, Measurable, Achievable (mindset), Rewardable, and Timed.

“ You can’t manage what you don’t measure.”
I often hear – we have a template. We can do that ourselves. Outside consultants, mentors, and coaches are often seen as an added expense you do not need. However, they see what you do not. They not only provide a fresh perspective and expertise you might not have but will have new relationships and connections you might not have, with an understanding and availability to resources you do not have. Getting help from someone outside your business makes a significant difference to the outcomes and plans, as the saying goes.
Three Helpful Enhancement Tips:
- Create a current business Plan
- Develop clear and focused Branding and marketing Strategies..
- Book regular time with a coach or mentor to help you see the outside.
“It is very hard to read the jar label when you are inside the jar.”
3. ENERGISE YOUR OWN SELF-CARE. Self-care is not selfish! Take time- Understand your emotional intelligence, and make time, for your mental health and physical well-being a priority. Healthy body, healthy soul, healthy mind, healthy business. Have a plan for your energy this year.
Plan to have time out for yourself, your staff, and your family. Plan to have less stress and more energy for work. This will create higher productivity and more significant outcomes through innovation and creativity. When your cup is overflowing with too many things, you have difficulty making decisions, and you cannot take on innovative ideas or make room for the answers to your challenges and problems. Take regular time to think and dream, including planned days off, weekends away, and holidays to relax. Your plan should also include exercise plans and reflection time.
Recent research shows by taking 15 minutes of reflection at the end of the working day, you will start to perform 23% better than those that do not take the time.
“Success in business is 20% strategy and 80% mindset. “
Five Helpful Energy Tips:
- Minimize Stress Through Exercise
- Create A Workspace You Love
- Engage In Activities Outside Of Work
- Check In With Your Mental Health
- Treat Yourself – You Deserve It.
These 3 steps will help you improve not only your business but yourself.
Empowerment is the capacity to trust ourselves to stretch into our full potential and the guidance to make it matter for the organization.
Enhancing or transforming a business means that change is required in three dimensions: business focus people and processes.
Energising your own Self-care is anything you do to take care of yourself so you can stay physically, mentally, and emotionally well.
