Feb 21, 2023 | Marketing Matters

It is already the End of February so start today

Starting a new year is a good time to revaluate and adjust marketing efforts to ensure they align with current trends and customer needs.

A marketing strategy typically includes the following elements:

  • Brand development and positioning, including the creation of a brand name, logo and messaging and visual identity that reflects your business’s values and sets it apart from competitors. A strong brand is a key aspect of any successful marketing plan.
  • Setting clear and measurable marketing goals that align with the overall goals of the business. Measurable goals are important for tracking the success of a marketing plan. These goals should align with your overall business objectives and be specific, realistic, and time bound.
  • A marketing plan outlining the strategies tactics and channels that will be used to achieve your goals.  It should include information on target audiences, budget, and the channels and methods that will be used to reach them.
  • An online presence plan outlines how your business will use the internet and social media to connect with customers and promote your brand.  It should include a website, social media accounts and other online platforms to help reach customers and build a community around the brand.
  • A content plan and scheduling, which includes the creation of a variety of content types (such as blog posts, videos, infographics, etc.) and a schedule for publishing and promoting the content.
  • A schedule for implementing the marketing plan and publishing content is crucial for keeping the marketing plan on track.  This should include set deadlines for each part of the plan, and be reviewed and changes made, if necessary, regularly.
  • Creating a comprehensive marketing strategy will help a business effectively reach and engage with its target market and achieve its overall goals.

Keep in mind that a marketing plan is a living document that is subject to change.  Changes can be made as per performance, business growth and customers changing needs.  Customer relationships can be weak or strong according to the marketing methods that you use.  So stay at the top and don’t slip – let Small Business Improvement Services put you on the top.
